Read “Why, Between White Jesus and Me, One of Us had to Die” at Christians for Social Action, and more!
Hey everyone!
Like we said last week, no regular newsletter this Thursday, but we wanted to share a couple exciting things with you that Tamice has been doing around the release of Faith Unleavened.
In addition to the excerpt from the book we published on Tuesday, Christians for Social Action published another excerpt from the book called “Why, Between Me and White Jesus, One of Us Had to Die.” It’s a powerful passage about Tamice finding the courage to insist on the value of her own humanity and the goodness of God in spite of everything she learned in white ministry spaces.
The Fascinating Podcast had Tamice on their show earlier this week. It’s a wide-ranging interview about the book and, as always on that show, a bit about pop culture.
Tamice also appeared on the Common Good Podcast to talk some about the book, and the implications of whiteness in the church.
Make sure to order your copy of Faith Unleavened if you haven’t yet, and we will see you next week!
